Connecting Your Shopify Store

One-click OAuth, what data we import, and how Auto-Sync keeps the AI current.

Connecting Shopify is a single OAuth click — but it's worth knowing exactly what Taskra does (and doesn't do) with the access.

The connect flow, step by step

  1. 1On /stores, click "Connect another store" (or "Connect your first store" if it's your first).
  2. 2Enter your shop URL — either "mystore.myshopify.com" or your custom domain.
  3. 3Shopify shows the permissions screen. Click "Install app".
  4. 4Taskra imports your data in the background; you land back on the dashboard within a few seconds.

What we import

  • Products — titles, descriptions, variants, prices, inventory state
  • Shop info — name, currency, contact email
  • Policies — shipping, returns, privacy (whatever you have published)
  • Recent customer messages from your existing inbox channels if connected

What we never read

  • Order PII beyond what's needed to track an order status when a customer asks
  • Card or payment details — Stripe handles those, we never see them
  • Other apps you have installed

Auto-Sync

Shopify webhooks notify us when you add a product, change a policy or update store details. We refresh the AI's knowledge automatically — usually within seconds — so replies always reflect what's live.

💡

Need to force a re-sync (e.g. you bulk-edited 200 products)? Open Stores and click "Sync now" on the store card.

Connecting multiple stores

Each plan has a seat limit (Starter 1, Growth 3, Scale unlimited). Connect another store from /stores — each one has its own training data, voice and confidence threshold.

Disconnecting

Disconnect from Stores → Disconnect. Taskra immediately stops replying for that store and deletes the access token. Conversation history is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.
